So what did Xbox show off? A few trashy Kinect titles with really bad child actors but then some more exciting things: Minecraft for 360 could be the creative game that console gamers have been waiting for. On the pc Notch's game is a favorite with every gamer, casual or serious and having it on a console is going to be awesome. I can't wait to build a 15 story mansion with my friends on live and then watch as it burns to dust all so I can start over again.
They then showed a teaser trailer to Halo 4: a game I can only hope to live up to it's predecessors followed by Halo:CE now in Hd for an anniversary edition is going to be enjoyable for all serious Halo fans, so not really my cup of tea.
All in all after watching Microsoft's conference I just thought: so what? A few good titles isn't really that exciting especially when Sony and Nintendo's press conferences were to come.. luckily neither of the following companies pushed the gaming industry to new heights.
I didn't watch the Sony Conference but from what I read the Playstation Vita could be what gamers worldwide have been waiting for, the next generation of handheld gaming. For me I'm not fussed because I'd much rather play a 5 minute game of angry birds on my iPhone than sit on the bus with a full blown game in my hand.. But there are millionsof gamers that the Vita will cater to and I can see this new handheld selling loads!
Nintendo did what Nintendo do best.. Innovate in the most useless way possible with the Wii U or we you if you want to be slightly more grammatically correct and to be honest it just looks like a handheld console in your living room with the ability to be played on your hd tv and to that I say so who cares?
Thanks for reading!
Loads more to come ;)
